During the vegetative growth cycle, when a plant's roots are running at their maximum capacity, the only shortfall comes with not foliar feeding. Hydrotops Leaf Feed encourages extensive branch and leaf formation, and also enhances the effect of other Hydrotops products such as Top Heavy Crop. Hydrotops Leaf Feed is tailored to your plants' vegetative requirements, supplying extra amino acid chains and enzymes that act as a growth stimulus for extra vigorous plants.
Your choice of size of Hydrotops Leaf Feed (choose your size above)
Foliar feeding is a well-established practice in commercial horticulture for very good reason. Spraying with feed supplies additional nutrients, amino acids and enzymes directly, when plants needs it most. Hydrotops Leaf Feed supplies these critical elements to the leaf's surface, providing extra nutritional benefits on top of what the roots can supply. This enhanced level of feeding boosts rates of leaf and branch growth. When combined with Hydrotops Top Heavy Crop, the two work collectively to boost dense, bushy, upward growth, while keeping the plant bio-chemically balanced.
To make up a litre of Hydrotops Leaf Feed, mix 100ml of Leaf Feed with 900ml of tepid tap water and allow to stand for 30 minutes. Spray plants lightly to the point of run-off. When spraying young plants or cuttings Hydrotops recommends using Leaf Feed at half original strength (50ml to 950ml of tepid tap water) until the plants are well established.
Please note: Only spray your plants with foliar feed at low light levels or when lights are off, preferably at least an hour before lights come on. Spraying when lights are at full intensity can lead to scorching on the leaves. Always store Hydrotops Leaf Feed away from strong light sources and never mix Leaf Feed with other products administered as a spray.
